Customised Ring Binders

Customised ring binders have many different flavours. They are available as basic polypropylene ring binders, presentation ring binders, PVC ring binders and paper over board ring binders. You can have ring binders with a maximum of six rings, or just four or even only two. The shape of the ring can also vary. They can be square or round, but most often they are D rings. The rings are usually nickel plated, but they can also be coloured, if preferred. The lever arch system is a more sophisticated type of ring binder and has a lot of flexibility in use. The A4 standard European format is the most common size for ring binders, and screen printing, hot foil blocking or full colour litho can be used to create fully customised ring binders of your choice.

The most common type of customised ring binders are those made from PVC. The versatility of this material is undoubtedly the reason for its popularity as it can be customised in so many different ways. The most common variation with PVC binders is to be found in the different finishes and textures used. This, combined with customised colours, can really set your ring binder apart. When you add fancy edge stitching, corner protectors, folders, wallets and pen loops, you can easily create the kind of customised ring binders that cause people to look twice.

If you need your customised ring binders to be environmentally friendly, then paper over board is most likely your best choice of material. While PVC is perhaps the easiest material to work with, paper over board offers a viable alternative. Printing on paper over board is where the real customisation options come into their own. Your choice of printing methods and techniques becomes almost limitless. A polyester film in gloss or matt can cover the end product, or it can be laminated and mounted on a hard board created from recycled materials.

Customised ring binders made from polypropylene also offer and environmentally option as they can be recycled when no longer in use. Polypropylene has hard-wearing and strong characteristics. They also offer a degree of heat resistance, and they are extremely versatile when it comes to customisation options. Polypropylene is particularly good as a material if you require embossing in your customised ring binders.

The personalisation options available when ordering ring binders are far too many to list. If you need your binders to be unique and stand out form the crowd, it’s actually easier than you might think. Their relative low cost and high branding capabilities, as well as their simple usefulness, make customised ring binders a winner every time.

Customised Ring Binders

Customised ring binders come in various forms. You can have presentation ring binders, paper over board construction ring binders, polypropylene ring binders, PVC ring binders and more. Your ring binders can have two rings, four rings or six rings, round, square or the more common D rings, coloured or nickel plated. You can also have a lever arch system if you prefer. Customised ring binders are generally of A4 standard size, but can be other standards as well, and they can have customised printing on the cover in full colour litho, hot foil blocking, screen printing or various other printing options.

PVC customised ring binder are perhaps the favourite type of binder. It is an extremely versatile type that can be customised in many different ways. They can be made in a wide variety of sizes too, anything from a very small binder that can slip into a pocket, to a very large standard A2 size that requires a bit of thought for carrying around. The various options for PVC binders are practically endless. Different finishes and textures can be mixed and matched, folders and wallets can be added at will, and  corner protectors, pen loops and fancy edge stitching are other additions you may wish to consider.

Paper over board binders offer the advantage of being very environmentally friendly, and are therefore often a popular alternative to PVC customised ring binders. The print option for paper over board are, as you might imagine, literally endless. The finished printed product can then be protected through being laminated or covered by a clear gloss or matt film of polyester. This is usually mounted on to firm board of recycled material.

Polypropylene customised ring binders offer the advantage of being fully recyclable. Their lightweight, elegant stylish look belie their strong, tough, hard-wearing capabilities. Polypropylene ring binders are also heat resistant to a degree. Polypropylene binder, like their PVC cousins, can be customised in many ways. They can accept most popular printing methods, as well as embossing, and they can have a wide variety of differing pockets.

Customised ring binders offer many personalised options, too many to comfortably list, in fact. They are extremely popular in business, which makes them easily interchangeable, and they generally accept standard document sizes and hole punches. Through customisation, a business can easily stamp its own brand and style on all its ring binders at a surprisingly low cost too.

Ring Binders, a Versatile Way to Manage Reports

Ring binders have been around for a lot longer than most people realise. They were invented in Germany in 1886 by Friedrich Soennecken. In November of that year he registered the patent for his new invention of Papierlocher für Sammelmappen, or hole punch system. There have been further developments since that time, but by and large, ring binders are pretty much the same today as when they first started out.

Ring binders, also sometimes known as files, are essentially folders that can hold sheets of paper through ring clamps that go through pre-punched holes in the paper sheets. The retaining clamps are usually circular, but can be D-shaped. They are usually two-hole or four-hole binders designed for the A4 size of paper sheet. However, in the USA and Canada, a three-hole system is the most common. This is designed to accommodate the letter size paper sheet.

Ring binders are made to accommodate standard paper sheet sizes, usually the A4 size. The capacity of a ring binder is not an absolute, but most are designed to hold a very generous amount of sheets that is usually enough for most needs. Adding or removing sheets of paper is managed by simply pulling apart the retaining rings that go through the pre-punched holes in the paper. This is usually sprung to hold it in a closed position, and it requires a small effort to pull it apart. In the open position, sheets of paper can be threaded through the rings to add them to the binder, or unthreaded to remove them. Snapping the rings together again secures the binder once more.

The covers of ring binders are made up of three pieces, a front, back and spine. They can be of PVC, which is probably the most common, paper over board, which offers quality at an affordable price, or recyclable polypropylene, which offers a very wide range of options in terms of colour, finish and design.

Ring binders can be found in every office and in most homes. They offer a degree of versatility that few other systems can offer. They are simple to use, inexpensive to purchase, they are available in a wide range of options, and they generally have a long shelf life, making them ideal for any situation where printed paper sheets need to be collated and organised.

Give your presentation the edge

If you are making a business presentation or presenting a new product, it is almost certain that you will want to use attractive presentation folders to make the right first impression. But how can you get more from your presentation folders to ensure that they give your presentation the edge? Here are three tips to help you make an impact.

1. Create a Quality Product

High-quality presentation folders are fundamental if you want to make the right impression. There is nothing worse than handing over a folder that does not accurately represent your company values, and if you want to impress your prospects then a quality folder is absolutely essential. This will also increase the odds that your prospects will hold onto your presentation folders for longer rather than putting them to one side.

2. Focus on Originality

If you want your presentation folders to get noticed then a custom design will be almost mandatory. You don’t have to win any awards, but it is important that your folders are both attractive and original to ensure that they stand out from the crowd. That means a professional design that takes advantage of the wide variety of sizes, styles, colours and materials available

You could opt for a leather-look finish, choose gloss or matt laminating or employ an original colour scheme, all of which will help to make your presentation folders stand out from the rest.

3. Entice Your Readers

One effective way to encourage readers to actually open your presentation folders rather than putting them to one side is to entice them with an interesting tag line. This is a classic sales technique which could drastically increase your chances of getting people to take notice of the contents of your folder.

Tease the readers, provide them with an incentive to read past the cover, offer to provide a solution to a problem – there are numerous ways to entice your readers to look past the cover, and it is worth spending time thinking about this before designing your presentation folders.

Conclusion

Get More from Your Folders

You need your presentation folders to make the right impression for your company. Don’t make the mistake of designing unoriginal and uninspiring folders. Instead, make sure your presentation folders are attractive, original and inspiring, and they are certain to produce more positive results.
